Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!

Tapas and Paella

As Chicago's first Spanish restaurant, it often surprises first-time visitors by how likeable, varied, and fresh great Spanish food can be. Tapas–small dishes perfect to enjoy leisurely over conversation–let you sample several dishes in a relaxing, Mediterranean-sensible meal and Sherries or authentic fresh-fruits sangrias.

In cozy surroundings with the colors and sights of Spanish tapas bars, you'll be tempted by a menu of surprisingly familiar flavors in more than 75 dishes served simply but in often novel ways – in cast-iron pots, paella pans, hot slabs of granite and hanging from grill skewers.

Chef-owner Gabino Sotelino, whose talents have led to command performances for King Juan Carlos, created Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba to reflect his love of la cocina de España. One taste and you'll be in love, too.

"Sharing can be fun" at this tapas bar with "superb paella", "excellent sangria", a "super" outdoor patio and a "fun and flirty" atmosphere that's "good for groups." Most agree it's "still the best" in its genre.
